Putting the "Green" in Green infrastructure

Too often, plants are an afterthought in green infrastructure projects. We bring unparalleled experience and innovative thinking by applying the technologies of plant systems to green infrastructure. We combine ecological strategies for covering the ground, balancing species diversity, and managing competition with the craft of horticulture, resulting in projects that are functional, beautiful, and buzzing with butterflies and pollinators. Our thinking makes our projects different.

Diversity is functional. Too often green infrastructure regulations try to limit diversity in order to make them easier to maintain. But a diversity of root systems, ground-covering strategies, and lifespans actually increases the longevity and function of the systems.

We use plugs and seeds tightly spaced in a unique method that guarantees quick and dense ground cover. Quick establishment is essential for the survival of these facilities.

This series of bioretention facilities in Lancaster, PA, use over twenty different species to create a dense, functional matrix that is buzzing with life.
