Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Practitioners Wanted: Promoting Pollinators for the Bay Workshop!
The Chesapeake Bay Trust is hosting a free workshop to explore and discuss simple ways to enhance new and existing stormwater best management practices (BMPs) to support pollinator populations and increase biodiversity. While the primary function of a stormwater BMP is to manage stormwater, choosing the correct plants and implementing pollinator friendly practices can increase the many benefits that stormwater projects provide. Stormwater practitioners are invited to participate in this one day workshop to learn how watershed improvement projects can easily be enhanced to support pollinators while maintaining functional water quality improvement goals.
Experts on pollinators, stormwater management, and landscape design will guide the discussion and lead interactive activities that demonstrate how choosing the best plants for pollinators can increase biodiversity, improve aesthetics, improve water quality, reduce maintenance, and provide countless educational opportunities. Come join us to learn how to make your projects buzz!
