SoCal Regional Event and Garden Tour Presented by APLD GLA and SD

Join fellow APLD members, landscape professionals, and community members for a very special 2-day event. Day 1: Saturday April 7th, takes place at the amazing Descanso Gardens where you will be engaged with 4 speakers that challenge us to push our thinking about landscapes. Speakers are: Benjamin Vogt: The New Garden Ethic, Frank McDonough: Tree's That Thrive and Rosalind Creasy: When In Drought - Plant Vegetables! And Thomas Rainer: Planting in a Post Wild World. Expand your thinking on native plants and take a new look at the designed environment as well as the role we play as agents of change, stewards, and trustees in our personal spaces, our communities, and beyond. Cap off the evening with refreshments in a beautiful private garden designed by Bernard Trainor Day 2: Sunday April 8th, the 3rd Annual APLD Garden Tour. 6-8 Gardens within the city featuring sustainable practices and the watershed approach. Area for garden tour is in the San Fernando valley area to Pasadena area.
