SPEAKER: Thomas Rainer Planting in a Post-Wild World

Thomas Rainer, a landscape architect by profession and a gardener by obsession, is a horticultural futurist fascinated by the intersection of wild plants and human culture. He has worked on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and the New York Botanical Garden. Thomas will encourage us to loosen up our landscapes, plant more daringly, and use more natives, while emphasizing naturalistic garden design.
