Philadelphia International Airport

A new gateway for Philadelphia

Phyto Studio was selected as the winner of an international competition to design new landscape, bridge lighting, and gateway sculptures for the Philadelphia International Airport. Custom gateway sculptures (WINGS) will mark entry and exits to the airport. The project has completed 30% design and is currently on hold. Phyto’s innovative approach to invasive plant management has resulted in a horticultural strategy to cover over 80 acres in biodiverse meadow style planting. On the airport property, over ten acres of perennial meadows would make it the largest perennial planting project in the history of the United States.
