Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus, Ohio

Garden Master Plan

Phyto served as the lead garden designer and horticultural subconsultant to MKSK Studios for a visionary new master plan for the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens project. The plan involved a complete reorientation of the Conservatory west of the historic Palm House. This reorientation enhances synergy with the park and introduces a series of innovative garden spaces envisioned by Phyto. These spaces include a new Grand Mallway that seamlessly blends ecological planting in a formal style, a naturalistic signature garden to the north, and an artful whimsical display garden to the south. Phyto also reimagined a new series of interior biomes, updating and modernizing the existing experiences with more ecological and artful displays. All renderings below by MKSK Studios.
